Dr. David Li
Dr. Li grew up in San Jose, and enjoyed going to the orthodontist as a kid. Now on the other side, he loves providing that same level of enthusiasm and care for his patients in a fun and family-friendly environment. At West Valley Orthodontics, he continues the time-honored compassion, integrity, and legacy of Dr. Kinoshita.

David attended University of California Los Angeles, majoring in Neuroscience. He went on to receive his dental degree (DDS) from the University of Michigan, and his master’s degree and speciality certificate in Orthodontics from University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is passionate about Orthodontics and learning the newest innovations and improvements in orthodontics, and maintains active membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontists, and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Li was raised in San Jose, and attended Miller Middle School and Lynbrook High School. He loves practicing in the neighborhood he grew up in and meeting the community’s next generation. Outside of the office, he enjoys running, basketball, and rooting for all of our Bay Area sports teams.

Dr. Gerald Kinoshita
Dr. Kinoshita is a third-generation Californian born and raised in San Joaquin Valley, in the city of Bakersfield. He attended Bakersfield Junior College and then went on to attend the University of California San Francisco where he received his dental degree (DDS) and his orthodontic certificate. Dr. Kinoshita comes from a family of dentists, as his two brothers are also dentists.

After graduation, Dr. Kinoshita moved to the West Valley neighborhood of San Jose and started his own orthodontic practice. He has enjoyed practicing at this very office for over 50 years, treating and taking care of his patients throughout the years.
Dr. Kinoshita lives in the Los Altos area, where he spends his time with his children and grandchildren. They partake in the beautiful outdoor and cultural offerings that the Bay Area has to offer. In addition to family time, he always enjoys a good round of golf with his brothers.
