Phase 1 / Early treatment
Phase I or Early Treatment is for children starting at age 7. We evaluate your child for proper growth and eruption of their permanent teeth. At this time, we may or may not recommend early treatment, but an early evaluation allows us to catch any problems that may develop and allows us to monitor growth of their jaws closely. Some common problems that can be fixed at this age would be: early loss of baby teeth, jaw imbalances, crossbites and underbites, excessive crowding, and buck teeth. Phase I treatment is designed to correct or improve these conditions in young, growing children and sets them up for success as they head into their teenage years.
